An Example of Hypnosis

posted in: Hypnosis

Imagine getting up in the middle of the night and snacking and wanting to change that behavior.  You can be hypnotized to think and act differently about your relationship with food. It is by first changing your thoughts that you then change your behavior. Here is an example of hypnosis.

When your mind stops believing the subconsciously believed idea you need to snack on high fat, sugary foods in the middle of the night, you then naturally change your behavior.

This is one thing you can do by using hypnosis in a clinical way.  A well trained hypnotist knows how to work with you so you no longer need to think about eating food at night.  Instead, you can simply sleep through the night.

This is an effortless example of how you can release excess weight.  But your behavior only changes if you also consciously desire for it to change.  A hypnotist can only suggest that you think differently.

Your Subconscious Naturally Protects You From Harm

Just as when you watch a television commercial that suggests you believe you need an advertised product, no one has control over you to make you buy.  Your subconscious mind is designed in such a way that it protects you from being manipulated against your free will.

Many people mistakenly believe that a hypnotist can gain full control over a person while they are hypnotized. This is not true. A person cannot be hypnotized involuntarily or forced to do things they would not normally do.

Hypnosis is a trance state that is similar to the feeling of being half awake and have asleep. While in this trance, the hypnotist guides the participant into a deep level of relaxation that results in a higher level of focus and suggestibility.  While you allow yourself to be hypnotized, you can come back to conscious awareness at any time you desire.
